skyfall
Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
Skyfall is slick, stylish, and one of the top 5 movies of 2012. I had high expectations for the new James Bond, but I never thought it would be the best action movie i've seen in a very long time. Skyfall immediately has you hooked with one of the most thrilling action scenes of the year. After that comes it's visually stunning title sequences, playing Adele's new Skyfall theme, which I loved. To me, Sam Mendes (American Beauty) seemed like an unusual choice of director for a James Bond movie, but he does a fantastic job with this. Daniel Craig reinvented 007 into a convincing, more human character. It's near impossible they will find a better Bond to replace than Craig which I'm guessing this is his last movie as the iconic secret agent. Javier Bardem is ideal casting as Sliva, the new supervillain. Every single Bond villain always have evil plans for world domination. Sliva's are much different to the others. I can't say why without spoiling the movie, but you strangely have sympathy towards him and what made him the way he is now. Naomie Harris as Eve, is what a Bond girl should be. A relevant character that's not just some chick who adds little to the storytelling. The supporting cast, Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, and Ben Whishaw all excellent performances. Skyfall is The Dark Knight Rises of James Bond movies. An epic conclusion to an amazing reboot. In my opinion, Skyfall is just as good as Casino Royale, and that's some bloody high praise right there.
