A Clockwork Orange
In future Britain, charismatic delinquent Alex DeLarge is jailed and volunteers for an experimental aversion therapy developed by the government in an effort to solve society's crime problem... but not all goes to plan.
There's nothing really quite like Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange. Controversial at the time of it's release, when nobody had seen such graphic violence onscreen. Malcolm McDowell's performance is monumental as Alex DeLarge, an evil yet sympathetic psychopath. Even though his character has a violent and sick personality, you're with him throughout the movie. Wendy Carlo's electro-house classical score is great, blending perfectly into every scene. A Clockwork Orange is a prime example of why Stanley Kubrick is one of the best directors ever. The only criticism I have is that Kubrick's dystopian future has dated over the years. A Clockwork Orange is essential viewing for every movie lover.
