holy motors
From dawn to dusk, a few hours in the life of Monsieur Oscar, a shadowy character who journeys from one life to the next. He is, in turn, captain of industry, assassin, beggar, monster, family man...
Holy Motors is a visually stunning, brilliantly strange surreal masterpiece that should not be missed. Many have compared Holy Motors to David Lynch's Mulholland Drive. This is the type of movie not to expect a story from. The supporting cast, Edith Scob, Eva Mendes and Kylie Minogue all give strong performances. But Denis Lavant is the one who stands out the most as Monsieur Oscar, going from one life to the next. Holy Motors is a movie that's almost indescribable, which is why this review is so short. There's just nothing really quite like it. Very few will walk out feeling bored. Holy Motors is high up there among some of the best movies of this year. Highly recommended
