No Country for Old Men
Violence and mayhem ensue after a hunter stumbles upon some dead bodies, a stash of heroin and more than $2 million in cash near the Rio Grande.
No Country for Old Men is one of the Coen Brother's finest films. Javier Bardem plays Anton Chigurh, a psychopath hunting down the man with his $2 million armed with a captive bolt pistol and silenced shotgun. Bardem gives an incredible performance as the most frighting villain in a long time. Tommy Lee Jones was just amazing as Sheriff Ed Tom Bell, searching for Anton and Llewelyn Moss, (played by Josh Brolin who is also great) who stumbles upon the $2 million causing a violent cat-and-mouse chase. Joel and Ethan Coen are known for class filmmaking, and this is a prime example why. Always thrilling, keeping you on the edge of your seat. The Coen's screenplay is just amazing. Their great dialogue is given to the actors, especially Javier Bardem and Tommy Lee Jones. People say the ending was terrible, leaving unanswered questions. I didn't have problems with that. I didn't have problems with anything. No Country for Old Men is a rare type of film we should see more often. Flawless in every way.
